An account will be deemed a 'Non-Contributing Account' if either a public Product has not been published, or there has been no Referral Sale attributed to the account in the previous 15 month period. Non-Contributing Accounts will be subject to a monthly 'Non-Contributing Account Fee'.

In order to avoid incurring this fee in the future, we would recommend uploading a new design to your Zazzle store.

 

Non-Contributing Account Fees will only be deducted from existing Earnings in your Account until your account becomes contributing or your balance becomes zero - your account balance cannot go negative because of Non-Contributing Account Fees, and Zazzle will NEVER charge your credit card or PayPal account for these fees.

The currency used is based on the payment preferences as displayed in your Payment Settings under the Earnings tab of your account. The fees listed are effective as of 1st April, 2019. For more details see our User Agreement.

FAQ's

“Why are you making this change?“

We want our community to be active and involved by creating new Content. We provide our marketplace and allow Designers to list Products for free, but when Designers or Associates in the community aren’t active, this inertia hurts both the community and the platform. To counter this we have a “minimum balance” of activity on the platform and new Product and Content creation that we ask you to maintain, so that our marketplace can remain healthy and dynamic.

“Are you going to charge my credit/debit card or PayPal account?”

No. The Non-Contributing Account Fee will not be charged to any debit or credit card, PayPal account or any other payment method you have set up in your account.

“Then how do I pay the Non-Contributing Account Fees?”

If your account has an Earnings balance (that is, Royalties and/or Referral Fees), the monthly Non-Contributing Account Fee will be charged against that balance until you either become “contributing” again, or until your Earnings balance reaches zero.

“How can I avoid the Non-Contributing Account Fee?”

You can either publish a new Product to the marketplace or have a Referral Sale attributed to your account, and the clock is reset! You will have another 15 months before your account status can become Non-Contributing again. Of course, we would love it if you kept on designing and referring sales more often, but we recognise how busy life can be and want to ensure you can enjoy Zazzle at your own pace.

“I don’t even have a store, why might I be charged?”

Sometimes, even if you don’t have a store on our marketplace, you’ve shared some of the Content you’ve created with friends and loved ones, and created a referral code without even realising it! You may have Referral Fee Earnings in your account that triggered the email you received from us regarding these changes.

“What if I delete my account? Will I still be charged?”

Your credit card, PayPal account or other payment method set up on Zazzle will never be charged as a result of Non-Contributing Account status. See the above questions for details on how it works. While we would be sad to see you go, Zazzle always respects account deletion requests. Here is a link to our account deletion procedure.
